A small hamlet tucked away in an area of outstanding natural beauty, comprising a school, a farm, holiday lets and housing.  Bodsham is our utopia where time takes a rest and enjoys the surroundings.

The photo in the background is of The Smithy looking towards the pub, this was taken in 1911 and shows how little has changed.  The smithy is no longer a blacksmiths workshop but a delightful two bedroom fully equipped holiday cottage.

Our house, Forge House, dates back a few hundred years and together with The Smithy provided the working and living quarters for the blacksmith who looked after the Evington Estate.

The Evington Estate once a 250 acre private estate was sold off in 1916 to form Elmsted, Hastingleigh and Bodsham.

Bodsham is privileged to host a few family generations who were born, went to school, worked and retired all in Bodsham.

Bodsham is only 4 miles from the picturesque village of Wye and is surrounded by a network of footpaths including the North Downs Way.

The Channel Tunnel lies just 20 minutes’ drive away, whilst the cathedral city of Canterbury, the market town of Tenterden, Leeds Castle, Howletts Zoo and the seaside town of Whitstable are all within easy driving distance.
